The black-box recorder for writers & creators

AI detectors guess.
We prove.

OriginProof records how a document was made — keystroke dynamics, pause rhythms, revision history — and issues a cryptographically signed Proof-of-Biological-Origin certificate courts, universities and publishers can trust.

Why now: detection is broken

Turnitin-style AI detectors are probabilistic — false positives punish innocent students and writers. Institutions don't need another guess. They need process evidence.

⚖️

Courts demand provenance

Affidavits, filings and IP claims increasingly require proof of human authorship. A signed process certificate is admissible evidence; a detector score is not.

🎓

Universities face false-positive crises

Students wrongly flagged by GPTZero-style tools. Process recording exonerates the innocent and deters contract cheating — without surveillance of content.

📚

Publishers & prizes need trust

Magazines, awards and media houses now ask: "prove a human wrote this." OriginProof is the notary stamp for the AI age.

How it works

A lightweight recorder runs while you draft. It seals behavior — not surveillance — into an immutable chain.

1

Record

Keystroke dynamics, pauses, deletions & revision bursts captured locally.

2

Seal

Every event SHA-256 chained. Pastes flagged. Tampering breaks the chain.

3

Certify

Humanity Score + signed Proof-of-Biological-Origin certificate minted.

4

Prove

Share a playback link: anyone can watch the draft grow organically.

Content-blind by design

Your words never leave your device.

In Blind Mode we store rhythms + hashes only — zero readable text. Anonymized playback renders every pause and revision as • • •, proving humanity while privileged drafts, sources and manuscripts stay sealed. GDPR-friendly, attorney-client-safe.

Questions, answered

How is this different from Turnitin / GPTZero?

Detectors analyze finished text and guess — with notorious false positives. OriginProof records the act of writing itself. A detector says "this looks like AI." We say "here is 47 minutes of human drafting, cryptographically sealed." Process evidence vs. statistical guess.

Do you read or store my content?

No — in Content-Blind mode only keystroke timings and SHA-256 digests are stored. Even we cannot reconstruct your text. Full-playback mode is opt-in per document.

Can someone fake it by retyping AI text?

Retyping leaves a distinct signature: abnormally uniform cadence, near-zero long pauses, no structural revision. Our model flags "transcription-like" sessions for review — and institutions set their own thresholds.

Is the certificate legally meaningful?

It's timestamped, hash-chained process evidence with a signed attestation — far stronger than a detector score. We're pursuing eIDAS-qualified timestamps and SOC 2; law-firm design partners are structuring affidavit workflows now.

What apps does it work with?

MVP: our drafting surface + browser extension (Google Docs, Word Online). Roadmap: native Word/Google Docs plugins, Scrivener, CMS integrations, and an SDK for exam and submission platforms.
